Lille and Amiens are locked on 12 points and are just above the relegation zone by virtue of superior goal difference. Their match-up on Monday night is nothing less than a six-pointer and either sides would not want to end up empty handed.

The is a re-schedule of the match originally abandoned after 30 minutes of play on 30th September after a stadium barrier collapse and injured dozens of fans. Lille were leading 1-0 when the unfortunate incident happened.

The newly promoted Amiens SC will be fairly content with their recent results that helped them stay just above the relegation waters. The Licornes held defending champions Monaco to a 1-1 draw on Friday which is arguably their best result of the season so far. This also put them on a four match unbeaten run with a win and three draws on the bounce. And most importantly a confidence boosting run that could keep them highly motivated in welcoming an inform side like Lille.

Marcelo Bielsa seems to have find the perfect pitch with Lille as the team finally managed to string to a pair of wins. On Friday, they thrashed St Etienne 3-1 to register the second win on the bounce and third in the current season. It is worth to note that the team was on a 9 match win-less run since starting the campaign with a convincing 3-0 win against Claudio Ranieri’s Nantes.

It will be another tense battle with both teams find their form in recent weeks. Unarguably, Lille has been most impressive, but you must not over Amiens as they managed to pick points from the last four games, including the 1-1 draw against Monaco on the weekend.

With the majority of the recent meetings between the sides being low scoring affair, a draw seems to be the most probably outcome and I will be going with the correct full-time score of 1-1.
